As a new member of our Squadron, we would like to welcome you to our unit! We are excited you have chosen to be a part of all things Civil Air Patrol. Let's get you started on your journey.
Senior Member Welcome Book
The new member booklet is your first resource to get started as an active adult member of CAP. Here you can learn a little about the organization, get information on obtaining your user name and password; populate information in your personal eServices account, and learn about to take your first step as a CAP member: completing the Level I Orientation Course.
Respect on Display (CAPP 151) teaches you about some of CAP's unique Customs and Courtesies it uses to show respect for and among our members, built organizational spirit and render respect to our National symbols and military partners. Keep this copy handy; you may find it useful both at the squadron and during your orientation training.
Complete: Operational Risk Management (ORM) (a/k/a Basic Risk Management)
Safety is our first priority. This course will teach you the basics of managing inherent risks using a methodical, six-step process.
Log into eServices at http://capnhq.gov/
In the left-side menu, select: Online Learning
In the pop-up menu, select: Learning Management System
At the top of the screen, click on "Go To AXIS"
If you have not enrolled in a desired course yet, click on "Course Catalog" on the top-bar menu.
Search for: Basic Risk Management
Select: Enroll
The course will now appear on your "Main Portal" tab on the top-bar menu.
Complete the course.

Training Leaders of Cadets (TLC)
The TLC Course is beneficial to all senior members and highly recommended if working directly with cadets in any Cadet Program role.
" Training Leaders of Cadets is the premiere venue for Cadet Programs Officers to learn how to become better mentors of cadets and more effective managers of cadet squadrons. The 3-course program is a component of the Cadet Programs Officer Specialty Track. "
